How escrow works

The payment is protected at every step of the deal.

First, the client and the contractor agree on the task, price, deadline and acceptance criteria.

The client reserves the payment in USDT — the money isn't handed to the contractor right away, it's held in escrow until the work is delivered.

The contractor only starts work once they see confirmation that the funds are reserved.

Once the client reviews and accepts the result, escrow releases the money to the contractor.

If the two sides disagree about the result, the money stays held until the dispute is resolved (see "Disputes" below).

Never send your seed phrase, a private key or your main account password — not even to XDBay staff. We never ask for them.
Cost

How much it costs

The client pays the fee — the contractor gets the full amount.

The platform fee is a fixed 0%, paid by the client.

The contractor receives 100% of the agreed amount — the fee is never deducted from it.

The fee is known upfront and doesn't change during the project — no surprises at the end.

USDT transfers also carry a separate blockchain network fee, shown before you confirm the operation.

Payments

How payouts work

Every settlement runs in USDT.

All settlements on XDBay run in the USDT stablecoin — no wild price swings like a regular cryptocurrency.

Before you deposit or withdraw, you see the supported networks, the fee and the timing — nothing hidden.

A deposit counts as confirmed once it's confirmed on the blockchain network.

Once the client accepts the work, the money is sent to the contractor within the platform's stated timing.

If something goes wrong

If you can't agree

The money stays safe until the dispute is resolved.

First, the two sides try to settle it themselves — in the project chat, clarifying exactly what's wrong with the result.

If that doesn't work, either side can open a dispute. The money stays held in escrow while it's reviewed.

The decision is based on what's already saved inside XDBay: messages, files, the agreed terms and milestones.

The outcome varies — a full payout to the contractor, a refund to the client, or a partial payout, depending on the situation.

Identity checks

Identity verification (KYC)

A "verified" badge — without exposing your personal data.

Before working on the platform, both clients and contractors pass an identity check (KYC) — this cuts down on fake accounts.

The other side never sees your documents or personal data — only the fact that you're verified, plus the usual public profile info (name, specialisation, rating, reviews).

An identity check does not guarantee the quality of future work. Review the profile and the reviews, even when the other side has a "verified" badge.

As soon as they see confirmation that the client's payment is reserved in escrow.
First, the two sides try to work it out themselves. If that fails, a dispute opens and the money stays held until it's resolved.
A 0% fee, paid by the client. The contractor gets the full amount, with no deduction.

Better not to — outside the deal you lose escrow protection, and it may break XDBay's rules.
